What are your honest views on the 2019 political campaigns ongoing in Mauritius?
Eg: Like what's your economic point of view on the electoral promises being made What do you think is realistic and what is not

I've never had any interest in politics, I think it's an ugly business. Growing up what I've observed is that politicians would say pretty much anything for votes.
I should mention that I live in England so I don't really follow what's happening in Mauritius but then again, I don't even watch the news in the UK!
From a recent I had with a friend of mine, I remember he said that they are promising quite a lot of things but that would bring the country into greater debt.
If I'm not mistaken, I think all the prime ministers are 60+ and it's been like that for decades. I think they should retire, take it easy and spend more time with their grand kids and give opportunity to a younger generation to take charge of the country. This way we can have reforms, move away from the old ways of doing things and have new and better ideas implemented for the welfare of the citizens.
For example, me personally I'd like to see the education system aligned with europe/usa. So primary school would start Sep and finish June, this way you don't lose half a year waiting for University to start.
What lies or truths have you heard regarding the current elections. Amuse me :)
I'm going to vote with my friends for the first time and like you I'm not interested in politics for the exact reason you've mentioned but since I still live there I think it's a duty as citizen
I'm looking on individual basis but I'm researching on all major parties. As individuals, their works in the past decade, their treatment of minorities, wether some of their promises are realistic. I'm looking broadly ect.
