Unfortunately, at this time, it is not possible to add funds to your Paypal account from a local Mauritian bank account. My understanding is that Paypal doesn't have the necessary agreements with the banks here.

Aside from this being a real pain for individuals like us, it also means that Mauritian websites can't use Paypal for online payments and this is really holding us back. Almost every client that comes to me for a website wants some kind of online payment facility and I have to tell them that they'll need to use MCB, SBM or a local company like Checkout.com. The end result, after looking at the fees involved, is that they don't bother to implement an online payment solution.
