Do you think twitter is a good social site to use?How many of you use it and is it more interesting than facebook to use?

Twitter is a micro blogging platform and thus it's very different to Facebook. The equivalent of status update is called a Tweet on Twitter and that's limited to 140 characters. ReTweets are similar to Likes and Friends similar to Fans.

Facebook is more for managing personal relationships (friends/family) whilst Twitter is more about professional relationships. If you're into cars, you'd follow TopGear on Twitter or if you like bollywood, you'd follow your actors there. This means you'll get bite sized updates about the brands/people you like. You do not need to be a friend with the person you intend to follow to get the updates because the information is public by default. On Facebook, you'd really have to be friends with someone to be able to interact fully with that person (although there's a subscribe to public updates functionality).

Less Mauritians are on Twitter than Facebook btw.

you can follow a page on facebook but you get an update for an event two days after it occured. Too much stalkers. I deleted my acc. I prefer twitter

I find it more professional and its more direct what you want to express..

Its not more interesting than fb though..

Of course it is a good social site. But not here. I use it rarely and it's rare to find active Mauritians there.

The good thing about twitter that I find is that people are straightforward.
