Do planters use organic fertilizers in Mauritius?

Chemicals fertilizers have many advantages as they are fast acting, easy to apply and readily available and many planters seem to choose this type over organic fertilizers which are better for soil fertility, are long lasting and better for the environment.

So do you think the planters in Mauritius (or most of them) are using organic fertilizers like manure to help the growth of their crops? Would you prefer them to use organic stuffs or do you not mind at all?

Planters in Mauritius use mostly chemical fertilizers though there has been encouragement from the government to use organic fertilizers given their numerous benefits, and to depend less on chemical materials too, I believe that few organisations actually use organic matter which is sad as organic matter is better for the health and the environment too.
