You, as the foreigner, will need :
- Passport
- Birth Certificate
- A certificate to confirm you're of good character
- Confirmation that you're in employment in your country of residence or that you have sufficient funds to stay in Mauritius
- Medical certificate to show you do not have any contagious disease or have any infections
- Divorce certificate if applicable
Note that you need to be present 7 days prior to the publication of your marriage and the civil wedding can only take place 10 days after this has been published.
Thank you!!!!!You helped me greatly!
You're welcome!
Hello!
Sorry for troubling, but let me ask you one more question.
Can I get married in Mauritius staying there with tourist visa or I will need marriage visa?
Thank you in advance.
@sunshine : Upon arrival, you will need to declare to the immigration officers that you are here to get married for them to issue you with a marriage visa, otherwise you will get a tourist visa and that's going to create lots and lots of problem. Some say you can eventually marry on a tourist visa but it's really complicated.
@Khush : You've already given a good link but I think it would be nice to show what is required for a foreigner to get married here without having to click on that link. This will make your answer perfect and the link will serve as a reference :)
Right :)
Thank you!!!!!!Appreciate your advice!
@sunshine : You're welcome. If this has answered your question fully, please choose it as the best answer. Thanks.
