I heard they are being removed. And I also heard they are not being removed. Real confusion.

I don't quite follow the local news but if you're referring to the history classes which are/were compulsory in secondary school (Form 1-3), then it would be such a shame if the government plans on removing them.

Kids nowadays don't go to the library/read books as much as before. They prefer things which are digital and reading online is not in their top priorities. Maybe if Facebook didn't exist, then it would have been different but then again it would be something else that would get their attention. What I'm trying to say is that not many students will want to learn about history unless they are compelled to. Getting rid of these history classes will surely make children nowadays/future parents less knowledgeable in those areas.

What do you think?

Its not going to be removed. The government can do necessary actions to promote it.Lots of students are not interested in it but there are a some people who are still interested in it and are doing it.

I have only heard that its not going to be removed.Instead the Ministry of education himself said that its going to make it compulsory for form 1 to 3 to do history.
