Long time ago, they used to hire HSC holders as cashiers and you can work your way up but nowadays you'll need a degree in Accounting or related field to be eligible for that position.

Depending on the post. Like for a Cashier, you start working in a Bank with a good HSC. Same is for marketing of the Bank products, HSC is enough.

Like I told you, If you have a very good HSC you don't need backing or whatsoever!! You can join in as a Junior Marketer or Cashier, or later on be promoted as a Cashier if you joined in as a Marketer! :)

Dude be optimist!! Not every candidate selected is based on backing! Please don't take it onto the extreme!!

No need to be so rude, I'm just stating a fact that backing helps in the majority of cases but to answer your question, no I did not get a job because of backing but it sure took a hell of a long time to get one!

@Moricien: I have a friend who literally failed in Mathematics and she was backed by a director of a bank recently. She now works in a bank and is obviously proud of it I guess.

@Peaches, You're right, backing definitely bolsters in the MAJORITY of cases ! :)
