A bank teller is a fancy word for a cashier. You would need a good Higher School Certificate (HSC) and show the ability to handle cash really well. You'll also need to be an outgoing person because you'll be in contact with customers everyday.
The ACCA route leads you to becoming a chartered accountant and that's going to make you over qualified for this job. Of course if you've got a diploma in say, economics/accounting, that's going to increase your chances of landing the job but that's not really necccesary.
Your best best is to contact a bank or see the requirements of the vacancies going, that should give you an idea. Just remember that if you want to go abroad afterwards the course may be pretty much worthless so check carefully before signing up.
