WE r opening our own mechanic garage next yr and we r expecting to pay a salary of Rs 12,500 for someone without experience and around Rs 15,000 with good experience!!! Anyone interested plz get in touch. Thanks

That depends on how many years experience they have but I think they start at around rs7000.

That's not a highly paid job. Mechanics work long hours and get very little in return. My friend earns rs13000 at the moment and he's been working as a mechanic for 4 years.

If you have a certificate from IVTB, you can get around rs10,000 I think. Most mechanics tend to do a lot of private work or start their own garages because you don't get much money from doing that alone.
