Ex-husband will not sign children's passport, what can I do?
I am a mother with custody of children where divorce has been prononced with husband fault. Father did not pay alimony nor asked for droit d'hebergement, nor a droit de visite during the past 11 years. He was only a visitor in his children life. Now that I will be living in another country, father refuse to sign the passport of the children and is playing on the ground that he is not secure about the future of the children. How can help me on a legal approach so that I can continue their scholarship and the future of the kids.

If you are divorced and have full custody of your children, then you shouldn't need the father's consent. If you want to double check this, then drop in the Passport Office in Port-Louis and ask the guys there. There is someone at the information desk who checks all passport forms to make sure all details are correct before you submit the application form.
So fill it in and bring all your documents (divorce papers etc) and he'll be able to tell you whether you need the father's consent as well, which I'm pretty sure you don't.
I think you need to ask a legal adviser but if you have custony I doubt you need his permission. Try using your custody documents
It would be better if you contact a legal advisor or a lawyer , you will get professional advice on what could be done to resolve your issues or just try to talk on radio ( korek pas korek program of Top fm).
