What kind of course can I take in Mauritius to get a job in Canada?

Just like doing a degree at the University of Mauritius does not guarantee you a job, there's no course that you can follow which would guarantee you work in Canada. I'm not trying to discourage you but you need to understand the truth first.

Immigration procedures to another country are always complex to prevent an influx of people seeking a better life to ruin the economy. However countries such as Australia, Canada and the UK have a shortage skills list which allow qualified workers an easy route to getting a work visa. You should check what skills are in demand and find out whether you've got the expertise the employers are looking for and if not, you can pursue further education to become eligible for these jobs.

The National Empowerment Foundation has a programme called "Migration Circulaire" which connects Canadian employers seeking Mauritian talent. However most vacancies in that respect are for jobs like electrician, mechanics, butcher but still it might be a good idea to check their website.

You should take a course in engineering. There's a lot of job prospects for it in Canada.

From what I have seen work experience counts a lot too so if you want to take a course to get in bear in mind that you may also need to have some work experience in that field.
