Once you are legally married to the Mauritian, you have to submit all of your documents to the Passport and Immigration Office in Port Louis. Once your papers have been processed, probably 1-2 weeks, you will be notified whether you are eligible for a residence permit or not; if yes you will be offered a temporary one for 6 months initially and 1-2 months later you will get a residence permit to stay in Mauritius for as long as you are married to the Mauritian.
