It's a big yes from me.
Just look at the type of crimes being committed lately. The criminals are just not scared of going to jail. The fear factor of breaking the law is clearly missing.

Had there been proper legislations in Mauritius there would be no need to introduce death penalty, I personally think that it's barbaric, the jailing system itself is a joke so the best thing would be for the authorities to review their laws.

The big problem about death penalty is this little problem of how to bring back to life someone that have been executed, if you find proof that he was innocent after all.

Where death penalty exist, it seems that when there's a risk such a situation could arise judges, police officers and political authorities put away any pretence of honorability and make sure that anybody who knows anything are made to keep their mouth shut.

We definitely need more strict laws regarding crimes in Mauritius. To think what the country has become now is quite upsetting because it's a rather small island and it should be more easy to keep things under control.

Going for a stroll on the beach used to be a safe, fun and relaxing thing that people can do but nowadays you'll probably stay inside with all doors locked to have peace of mind.

So I vote for death penalty to be introduced as well.
