I searched nearly all the posts here before writing this one, I really hope this isn't a duplicate. I was planning to buy a laptop and I was checking the auction section in Ebay, I stumbled across a good laptop not exceeding $150 (Rs5250 approx.).

The only issue is that the laptop is -used- and not new. I would like to know additional information regarding special permits(1) that is required to be able to import this laptop. I would also like to know if there is any additional costs.

Edit: The shipping for the laptop is USPS Priority Mail International.

Thank you in advance.

There is a 15% tax imposed on imported electronics which you will have to pay upon receiving the product. No special permits are required.

Pro Tip: $150 seems like a very low price, even for a used laptop. Check for the sellers reputation before buying it. You can also browse AliExpress for used or refurbished laptops. Also specify that you need the product to be well cushioned to avoid any unwanted surprises when receiving it.

I hope this helps!
