Mauritian Identity card (lost)

The procedure is the same as having lost your identity card in mauritius.

First go to the nearest police station and make a statement there. They will provide you with a paper that you will take to the civil status office in order to obtain a new identity card.

You will also need one of the new kinds of birth certificates for the paperwork.

Either way, first thing you'll need to do is to make a statement at the police station, they'll explain everything clearly to you from there.
