How to report abuse towards the elderly in Mauritius?
I know a family, father (70 years), mother (61 years) and one child-Vik (40 years).
Vik is a drunkard and he drinks all day starting from 6 am until night. He does not contribute one cent in the house. He does not have a fix job but he gets enough money everyday to be able to buy is drinks. At 6 am he goes to the bar and drinks and come home and either fights with the parents all day or just sleep in the sofa snoring, swearing, pissing in the sofa, and so many other things which i don't want tot reveal here but really disgusting things.
The parents have tried all means possible: to the hospital, mental asylum, police- but no use. i really want to help the parents but i don't know how. Can someone please help?

i am a 20 year old girl recently started university at Reduit ,Mauritius. I live with my parents and are dependent on my parents since i do not work yet. My parents have always been controlling especially my mother and brother to an extent that it is so hard to even go have lunch with my friends. I am always the one not being able to make up for a get together time. lately i have the edge of it. They lashed out completely on me for being late, denigrated me in front of other family members and i could say nothing but mentally, it is very disturbing for me. My parents want me to give them each and every detail of what i do, where i go, and when they do not remember it is my fault. i am very much fed up of this behaviour. Since childhood my mother has never been a good parent but a more controlling one. i have never gone out on family outings or something like that. But when i go with my friends, then it means to her that i am going to do what sl*ts do. i am genuinely fed up, discouraged and find to be living the rest of my life being controlled. Also my father has never much been the father figure. MY brother acts as if he is protective but he is jealous because being younger than me, i have already achieved many stuffs, whereas he does not know what to do with his life. i am usually succumbed to being a maid in my house or i simply do not communicate at all , which is for me the very best of all. But they are after all my parents..... If you were in my place what would you do , how would deal you with that mental or verbal abuse ?
Is the house owned by Vik or the parents? If owned by the parents, they can kick him out and get a restraining order against him as well.
