Has there been any Police Chase in Mauritius?

Beginning of the year, a policeman borrowed the motorcycle of a passer by to chase two burglars who robbed a shop in Vacoas. Mauritius being a small island and having congested and tiny roads, you cannot expect to see real chases like in the US.

lol the police in Mauritius are corrupt all I ever see them do is stop people for silly 'random' checks or signalling traffic, it looks like that's all they do.

Yeah when prisoners escape!! :) In the past I remember there were firing to those who used to escape from prison.. There was one named as Sabapati, or I may be wrong with the name but it is pronounced this way, he got shot on his left leg during firing..
