Learning Creole Audio

I'm learning Creole from a couple of books and what help my Mauritian wife can give me. We're coming over again in October for Divali and a wedding, and I feel ashamed that I've never been able to learn. But resources are hard to find!
Does anyone know of audio resources for learning the language, or can anyone prepare something for me?

I would say learn as many nouns in french as possible...this will form a good basis for you to then build up your creole.
