Since I believe that you have set out to help yourself with your spirituality, I will be glad if you give us a hand by answering the Q&A as well as giving us articles(about your experience) in order to help people?( I would be so happy,+ I am happy you decide to come back again(very surprise)...how is life btw?)
@ Gices, one needs to reach 1000 points/level 3, in order to access the chat zone, as an Elite member?
Now, what if he reaches level 3. How will the issues be solved?
It makes no sense to me. Having access to the chat zone is also a way to connect Mauritians besides the Q&A.
As soon as you log in now, your total points is checked and if you have 1000 or more, you are able to access the chat.
A member who has reached Level 3 shows commitment to our community because you can only get that many points over a period of time. All answers/comments/article are reviewed and unpublished (points taken away) if they are consistently not helpful.
The point system is a reliable way of knowing the contribution of a member to our community. For those who are making an effort to help others, they should be made feeling special and things like access to paid products on Clever Dodo are in the pipeline as well.
I understood this part. 1000 points in order to chat.
Questions:
Why did you come up with this new regulation JUST NOW and not then???
Why is it required to show commitment in order to access the chat zone?
-How do you define what is helpful and what is not? Helpful to whom? Are we all obliged to be helpful? Jokes not allowed? Oo
- It's about testing and refining the process.
- Read my previous reply.
- The community decides (users vote for what they believe is helpful, moderators adhere to the 80/20 rule for helpfulness vs sense of humour.
I choose to trust you Gices. I thought you restricted the chat zone because the women were spicing up the convo everytime i logged in. Btw, they initiated it every single time & sometimes I followed.
Of course, they would not pass off as pervs, but i prob would...lol Well I guess this wan't the reason why the chat section is now restricted.
We started the live chat because we wanted to connect Mauritians around the world. We successfully did that as we managed to get more than 500 users over a period of a year (that's around 40 users per month).
The chat users would come with their own problems/issues and questions and it is a full time job in itself to manage this. We run a free service and have volunteers to help with the site but people don't understand this.
Our Q&A is where questions need to be directed to as that allows all members to see the questions and post answers as and when they come online (different times of the day). This also saves us the hassle of having to answer the same questions over and over again as people can search on the site for solutions to their problems.
Our focus is to make information for Mauritians more accessible, hence the Q&A is our priority. The chat going forward will be for distinguished members to use; either to chill out, to discuss ideas or how they see fit.
An elite member is one who has reached Level 3, that is, has accumulated 1,000 or more points.
I hope that clarifies things for you.
You are harsh with your points! (horror horror, it will take me eons before getting access to it -_-)
