Hello Mauritius , let me introduce myself . I am Vinod from Bombay and I head the international shows division from carnival media Bombay. As I can see there is much an ambiguity about the show and its alignment so let me clear one by one.
Carnival media Bombay is well known for its out of the box ideas for creating international shows in south east and Middle East. When I look back at the shows held in Mauritius past an year or so I realised the the standard of the show is far below international standards. I am not blaming anyone, but a show is just not a singer comes ...sings a dozen songs and then curtain drops. We all know songs are available in you tube and hence a payed show mush have something more to singing.
The Rajesh khanna show is produced after a research of 4 months and was first showcased in Singapore followed by Berlin and muscat. It's is just not a singing show it's kind of a live documentary created on the lines of "BROADWAY MUSICAL" it's a minute to minute scripted show showcasing the bollywood life of the super stars life. We have purposely kept a low profile on which Bollywood artist are performing as that may overshadow the superstar Rajesh khanna.
Let me give you a few examples. In act one we released that against the popular myth Rajesh Khanna was not born in India . We send our team to Pakistan to find out his place of birth and was shocked to see the very building where he was born in 1942 . This old building still exist in Pakistan ..... JATIN VILLA. We also found "Gayatri Mantra" written in the walls if the building ..... It's an uncommon Sight in Pakistan . As the show goes on svicc Annu Kapoor we shall take you live to Pakistan where our team will show you what they have found and will be displayed on the projection screens on svicc

In act two we shall showcase his initial bollywood days and his struggles

In act three he has become a star..... And so one.

We have rare stories and footages of Rajesh Khanna with then prime minister of Mauritius in 70's when khanna first came in Mauritius for shooting of SAUTEN

Interestingly when we described the script of the show to govt of Mauritius my VIP seats got booked the very next day. We never had such a quick and good response in any country. I believe the entire National Assembly is attending the show. I know it's a bit costly ...but please remember it wold have been easy for us to get a shaan or a sherya Goshal to Mauritius and make them sing 20 songs and go. On the other hand a researched show with scripted act take lots of time and pain. We are committed to sow our Mauritius audience at least 3 such shows every year of international standards .

Part of the show is in crayol, part in bhojpuri and remaining in Hindi .

The cheapest ticket for the event sells at Rs500 and me personally I think it should be free. It's not a live concert but just a playback of the popular songs and a tribute to Rajesh Khanna. I could very well get all the tracks on youtube. So what's the point in going? I don't see anything interesting or unique, do you?

The Show is About Rajesh Khanna, and He is the SUPERSTAR of the Show.
The show is conceptualised and produced by a Bombay- Based company, Carnival Media Pvt Ltd, and is being held on the eve of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas , Mauritius at 20.00 Hrs on Friday, 26 Oct at SVICC (Swami Vivekananda) in the of presence of many an eminent political and corporate personalities, both from Mauritius and across the globe.

Its a scripted show of International stature with over 15 acts . Each act will showcase different stages of the Superstar's Bollywood life and his stardom with his Popular Bollywood Numbers.

Sudesh Bhosle and his team comprising of over 15 artists along with an Indian Orchestra will perform Rajesh Khanna's famous Bollywood numbers. It is a known fact that Late Shri Kishore Kumar was the voice of Rajesh Khanna for over 3 decades, and today no singer other than Sudesh Bhosle can come close to the magical voice of Kishore Kumar.

Sa Re Ga Ma Famed Shri Annu Kapoor will be the host and comperer of the show. This show also showcases a few numbers sung by the Father -Son Duo Late SD Burman (eg..Safal Hogi Teri Aaradhana) and RD Burman (Duniya me.... Logon Ko.....), Manna dey (Zindagi Kaise Hai paheli) etc. The show also showcases many rare footages/ interesting clippings/ portraits/ including footages of Souten, one of RK's Hits .SOUTEN was the first Bollywood film to be shot in Mauritius and since then the beautiful destination have gained immense popularity.
