Only indentured labourers who arrived in Mauritius between 1842 and 1910 are kept at MGI. Others are kept at the National Archives if they came here between 1826 and 1902 as free Indian Immigrants. For ancestors who came after 1902, the details can be found from the Passport Office.
I know all the records of our ancestors and slaves in Mauritius are kept at MGI moka.
